Approach Wealth is a flat fee-only wealth management firm designed to advise clients with recommendations rooted in their values, goals and best interest. We are committed to excluding all proprietary products from clients’ portfolios, avoiding commissioned sales and hidden fees, and more importantly, tailoring each client’s financial plan and portfolio to meet their goals.
Approach has been experiencing responsible growth since start-up while staying connected to its true north - offering conflict-free, fiduciary advice. All of our engagements begin with financial planning and detailed cash-flow analysis so that we can answer the questions we are most often asked: Are we on the right path? Are we going to be ok?

Who we are
Bill Ryan, principal and founder of Approach Wealth, has more than thirty years of experience in both investing and trading, including fourteen years as an options market maker on the Pacific Stock Exchange. He has advised high net worth clients at UBS Global Wealth Management and Comerica Wealth Management, where his practice focused on advising business owners and entrepreneurs who had recently either sold or taken their companies public, families with multi-generational wealth, and executives at public companies with large equity and option holdings.
While at the Pacific Stock Exchange he served on Business and Ethics, Options Listing, and Floor Trading Committees, and at Comerica the Investment Policy Committee, determining asset allocation for clients firm-wide. Eventually, he sought to design a more personable and individualized client experience that excluded proprietary products, commissioned sales and hidden fees. Bill started Approach Wealth to serve clients through relevant, sound advice combining his extensive knowledge of market theory with informed professional practice and expertise.
